Service Description
ERP II Foundations is a consultation series that will support beginning and intermediate-level clinicians in effectively implementing exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD and related disorders. ERP II is for individuals who see children, adolescents, or adults with OCD who are beginning to use ERP and/or who have completed the ERP Foundations I course. We will focus on developing case conceptualization skills and adding to one's ERP toolbox with varied presentations of OCD and comorbid conditions. Participants may sign up for either the Foundations course individually or for both. Presenter: Dr. Elyse Stewart, PhD, is a clinical psychologist with expertise in treating OCD and related disorders in outpatient and hospital settings. She is a gifted teacher and directs the Intensive Outpatient Program at the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety, Boston. CEs available for psychologists for an additional $15 fee. Attendees must complete the course in full, attend all sessions, and complete the course evaluation to receive ANY continuing education credit, and no partial credit will be given. Course Overview: • Session 1: Conceptualizing OCD in children, adolescents, and adults • Session 2: OCD in the Family: Addressing Accommodation • Session 3: OCD and Commonly Comorbid Conditions: ASD, Depression, & Anxiety • Session 4: Working with "Pure O" OCD: Addressing Cognitive Rituals Educational Objectives: At the end of this course, participants will be able to -Conceptualize OCD cases in children, adolescents, and/or adults -Describe and address family accommodation in ERP treatment -Describe how to address commonly comorbid conditions such as depression, other anxiety disorders, and autism spectrum disorders by adapting treatment -Describe how to address cognitive rituals in "pure O" presentations of OCD Intended Audience: Beginning and Intermediate-level clinicians
