Meet Julia!

Julia Zhong grew up in New York City and is a second-year clinical psychology PhD student at Suffolk University. She graduated from Emory University in 2021 with a major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and minor in Sociology. After graduation, she worked as a postgraduate research assistant at the Yale Child Study Center, working primarily with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. At Suffolk, her studies have focused on the role of cultural values in mental health and culturally-adaptive psychotherapy. She is passionate about working with marginalized communities, accessible and culturally-informed therapy, and providing culturally humble and compassionate care.

In her free time, Julia enjoys making specifically-curated Spotify playlists, playing cozy videogames, trying new restaurants and recipes, being with friends, and doing arts and crafts!
